The book titled My Favourite Nature Stories authored by famous author Ruskin Bond was released on 19 May 2016.
In the book, Bond details various encounters with the natural world. He offers detailed explanation why he has such an overwhelming love for nature.
Apart from My Favourite Nature Stories, Bond also launched another book titled The World Outside My Window. In this book, he writes about some of the most interesting insects, birds, trees and flowers he has observed.
Both the books were brought out by Rupa Publications to celebrate Ruskin Bond's 82nd birthday.
About Ruskin Bond
• Born on 19 May 1934, Ruskin Bond is an Indian author of British descent.
• He lives with his adopted family in Landour, Mussoorie, India.
• The Indian Council for Child Education has recognized his role in the growth of children's literature in India.
• He got the Sahitya Academy Award in 1992 for Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra, for his published work in English.
• He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 and Padma Bhushan in 2014.
